Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada

The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing Canada’s relationship with Asia by providing action-oriented support to government, business and other stakeholders. Our mission is to be Canada’s catalyst for engagement with Asia and Asia’s bridge to Canada. A thought leader on the Canada-Asia relationship for over 30 years, we offer clear, specific and actionable policy advice based on sound research and analysis.

Canada China Business Council

At the Canada China Business Council membership means business. We are a truly bilateral non-profit organization with six offices in both Canada and China. Founded in 1978, we have been the leading voice of Canadian businesses in China for over 37 years and provide the knowledge and connections you need to succeed in China and Canada. In addition to its focused and practical services, the CCBC is also the voice of the Canadian business community on issues affecting Canada-China business, trade and investment.

Canada-China Institute for Business & Development

The Canada-China Institute for Business & Development (CCIBD) at Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University aims to build and advance understanding of China through research, innovative educational and training programs, and influential public events. The Institute will serve as a centre of excellence for education and knowledge dissemination of China, past and present day, to Canadian business, academics, policy makers, governments and other stakeholders looking to do business with China and/or to partner with Chinese Organizations.

China Institute at the University of Alberta

CIUA’s mission is to advance scholarship of China at the University of Alberta, to enhance and support research on China, and to promote strong academic linkages between the University of Alberta and Chinese universities. CIUA’s vision is to play a prominent role in Canada, China and internationally as a unique Canadian enterprise that stimulates outstanding China-related teaching, research initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration. Spanning a wide range of disciplines, the Institute encourages the participation in the scholarship of China by undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, staff, and faculty from the University of Alberta and Chinese institutions.

Institute of Asian Research

Founded in 1978, the Institute of Asian Research (IAR) is the premier Asia-focused research institute and think tank in Canada, serving as an active hub for research, teaching, policy support, and community engagement. From its home in the C. K. Choi Building on the University of British Columbia’s Vancouver campus, the Institute seeks to build knowledge and networks to support effective policy action on a wide range of domestic, regional, and global issues centred on Asia.

Munk School of Global Affairs

The Munk School of Global Affairs unites people who are passionate to address the problems of a fast-changing world. Our aspiration is to create a unique, world-leading research, teaching and public engagement site that builds the new field of global affairs from Canada. We are the home of world-renowned researchers and more than 40 academic centres, labs and programs, including: Asian Institute; Centre for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies; Centre for the Study of the United States; Citizen Lab; and Trudeau Centre for Peace, Conflict and Justice.
